The court is directly opposite Museum Station (City Circle line) and a short walk from Town Hall and Central stations, with light rail services nearby on George Street. If you must drive, paid parking is available at the Goulburn Street Parking Station and other CBD commercial car parks, though rates are high and availability is limited.
Court generally begins at 9:30am, but you should arrive early - the Downing Centre is a large complex with courtrooms over several levels, and it can be overwhelming on your first visit. Check the daily court list, displayed on noticeboards in the building and available online through the NSW Online Registry, to find your courtroom number. Your first appearance is usually a mention, a short procedural hearing where the charge is confirmed and the court notes your plea. Matters are not always heard in list order, so be prepared to wait.
